There was lots of fun in the sun at a summer fayre held in Balby on Sunday.

Doncaster folk turned out in force to visit the fayre held at St Catherine’s House and in the surrounding Woodfield Park.

Fun of offer included a giant sandpit, lots of rides for the kids, a craft fayre, fairground rides and visitors could also visit the garden centre and tea room, where people who need support to get back into work or education gain confidence and learn new skills.

St Catherine’s House and Woodfield Park is run by Flourish Enterprises, which is supported by the neighbouring Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust – known for short as RDaSH.

Wendy Parkes, Flourish Enterprises’ Operations Manager, said: “It was a fantastic day. I want to thank residents who came along and enjoyed the fun and the sun and also our volunteers – without them we couldn’t make such successful events happen.”
