Easter fun was huge success

Doncaster residents turned out in force to enjoy Easter fun in Balby despite the dull and drizzly weather on Friday.

Several hundred visitors turned up to St Catherine’s House and grounds to see the Easter bunny, to take part in the Easter trail through the Balby woods, enjoy craft stalls, performances from The Black Cat Theatre Company, Irish dancers and Balby’s Taekwondo club.

St Catherine’s House is run by social enterprise Flourish Enterprises and Wendy Parkes, Operations Manager, said: “Residents really supported us, despite the weather. I’m sure they had a really good time and we want to thank them for coming along. Our performers were excellent, who all volunteered to attend the event, and I want to thank them too.  Don’t forget to come to our next family fun day on July 12 which has a seaside theme.”

Flourish Enterprises provides work and vocational opportunities to people who need support to get back into education or employment.
