Free fun for National Children’s Gardening week, this half-term!

We’re going to be celebrating National Children’s Gardening Week, next week at Flourish.

Kids and parents in Doncaster can come and get inspired down at The Walled Garden during the school holidays. From May 29 to June 4, you can grab a free colouring sheet and draw pictures of what you see in the garden.  Between Tuesday May 30 and Friday June 2, youngsters can decorate a plant pot and plant a seedling to take home, all for free.

Nikki Walker, who works in The Walled Garden, said: “Why not bring your youngsters along for some free school holiday fun, in the fresh air, and where they can learn about planting on seedlings. It’s a great way to mark National Children’s Gardening Week.”

Flourish supports people to gain skills and confidence on a pathway to education, training or employment.
