New Nature Trail For Woodfield Park

A new nature trail for children has been created in the woodland area in Woodfield Park.

Members of Friends of Woodfield Park unveiled the new trail with help from youngsters from The Warren Nursery, based on-site.

The trail is in the woodland area of Woodfield Park, which is located just off Tickhill Road. It has been funded by the Tesco ‘Bags of Help’ scheme and voted for by the community.

Lisa Wilkin, of Friends of Woodfield Park, said: “The nature trail is great for local people and families. Along the trail there are rubbing posts for children to enjoy a fun activity on their walk, paper and crayons can be picked up from the Walled Garden nearby – a small garden centre. It’s free to do, so why not come along and have fun on the trail.”

Paul Wilkin of Friends of Woodfield Park added: “A massive thanks to Tesco ‘bags of help’ for their support.  This trail is a great addition to the park.”

Pop down to the woodland area of Woodfield Park to find the nature trail and you can always pop into the Walled Garden to pick up some free paper & crayons for the rubbings post.
