Green fingered tots enjoy National Children’s Gardening Week

Tiny tots from a Doncaster nursery rolled up their sleeves and got their hands dirty at our pot decorating and planting session run during National Children’s Gardening Week.

The children from the Warren Nursery on the Tickhill Road Hospital site, Balby were making the most of daily half-term sessions run down at the Walled Garden.

Occupational Therapist Nikki Walker said: “National Gardening Week is run in the May half term each year to encourage young people to go outside and enjoy gardening.

“This is a great time of year to get planting and we were delighted so many children came along.”

She added: “Everyone took their own plants home, so we hope flourish and thrive and give lots of enjoyment over the summer months ahead!”
