Adding colour to Doncaster

A Doncaster garden centre that helps people who need support to get back into the workplace has launched its spring planting campaign.

The Walled Garden, which is based in the grounds of St Catherine’s House, in Woodfield Park, off Tickhill Road, Balby, is currently working on a number of contracts filling organisations’ hanging baskets and tubs – to give the area a splash of colour this summer.  Volunteers are also filling residents’ hanging baskets and garden containers.

Paul Kendrew Jones, Business Manager of Flourish Enterprises, the social enterprise that runs the Walled Garden, said: “We have a number of orders to add colour around Doncaster this spring and summer – but we would be happy to accept more.

“Our volunteers, who are people who need support to gain confidence and who learn new skills, have been busy growing the flowers over the last few weeks.”

If you would like to place an order call the Walled Garden on 01302 798000.

Flourish Enterprises is supported by Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH).
